Breanna Phillips, born and raised in New York City, is an aspiring graphic designer with a passion for animation and coding. Her journey into graphic design started in 11th grade when a coding class sparked her interest in creating images and animations. She has since developed her skills in animation, graphic design, and interactive media, using tools like Photoshop and Processing.
Breanna has participated in programs such as Verizon’s Virtual and Augmented Reality project and has had her work displayed throughout high school and college. She dreams of seeing her name in movie credits as a graphic designer or animator…
…right before everyone rushes out of the theater. You’d think Marvel taught them a lesson!

Statement of Intent
Being an artist requires time, effort, and a commitment to overcoming challenges like art blocks, frustration, and self-doubt. But, it also brings joy, satisfaction, and the thrill of creating something new. As an aspiring computer graphic artist, I embrace all these elements in my work.
My strong passion for academics, especially mathematics, shapes my artistic approach. There’s a clear structure in my pieces, much like an equation, with a defined beginning and end. For instance, in a recent project, I combined coding and graphic design to create “Interactive Media,” transforming a simple shape into a detailed scene, similar to solving a math problem step by step.
When others view my work, I want them to feel joy or a sense of peace, rather than focusing solely on the technical aspects. My goal is to create visually pleasing art that invites viewers to look again and again. As I enter the world of Art, the satisfaction of being inspired and being able to inspire others is the goal. With my skills in coding, animation, and graphic design, I aim to surprise both myself and my audience with my creations.
